How does a heated base layer work?

Our heated base layers sit right against your skin and add warmth at the source, under everything else you wear. Slim panels warm your core, powered by a rechargeable battery you can set with a button or the free MW Connect app on Bluetooth models. The moisture-wicking fabric manages sweat while it keeps you warm.

How warm does a heated base layer get?

Our heated base layer offers four heat levels, from about 90°F on low up to 135°F on high. Worn against your skin, even low makes a noticeable difference, while high adds serious warmth on the coldest days. You adjust as you heat up during activity.

Should you choose the men's or women's version?

Go by fit, since a snug base layer transfers heat best. The panels, settings, and battery are the same, and only the cut changes. Compare our men's heated base layers and women's heated base layers and pick your usual size.

How long does the battery last?

Our heated base layer lasts up to 10 hours on low, and about 2 to 3 hours on high. Since it warms you at the source, low is usually all you need. A spare battery covers a full day on the mountain or in the field. A recharge takes about 4 to 5 hours, so an overnight charge has it ready to layer up again.
